ZTE, MyRepublic Indonesia, and Metax commence the commercial rollout of a complimentary FAST TV solution

In a groundbreaking development, ZTE Corporation, MetaX, and MyRepublic Indonesia have joined forces to launch the Free Ad-Supported TV (FAST) solution in emerging markets. This collaboration aims to address the challenge of high investment and low returns in media service upgrades, particularly in these markets.

MetaX spearheads the content integration, offering a vast library of over 90 live channels and extensive on-demand content. The company also manages the advertising revenue-sharing system, enabling operators to earn revenue beyond content for the first time. Ryan Chi, General Manager of MetaX, emphasized that this localized content library and advertising revenue-sharing system have created the feasibility of zero-cost upgrading for operators.

ZTE delivers a comprehensive technical framework for the project, including content distribution, terminal management, and service assurance. Liu Qun, General Manager of Digital Home Product Line at ZTE, highlighted that this project solves the dilemma faced by operators, wondering to upgrade but hesitant due to high investment. ZTE's technical framework ensures the service quality for millions of users.

MyRepublic Indonesia focuses on user engagement and the operation and maintenance of the network services. Hendra Gunawan, Chief Technology Officer of MyRepublic Indonesia, stated that the solution accurately responds to the need for service upgrading and cost control. The company delivers stable, high-definition streaming services tailored to local cultural characteristics.

The tripartite cooperation has verified the commercial closed-loop of 'zero-cost content expansion - advertising revenue sharing - user experience upgrade'. The innovative business model establishes a sustainable path to boosting ARPU (Average Revenue Per User). This collaboration enables operators to enhance content offerings and share in advertising revenue without incurring additional hardware investment.

The ad-supported streaming model has successfully landed in Indonesia's mainstream market. The FAST solution is a joint project with MyRepublic Indonesia and digital content platform MetaX. This collaboration paradigm serves as a valuable reference for the Southeast Asian market. The project reinforces MyRepublic Indonesia's commitment as the leading fiber-optic internet provider in Indonesia.

ZTE Corporation has announced the large-scale commercialization of its FAST solution in July 2025. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the digital media landscape, offering a cost-effective and sustainable solution for operators in emerging markets. The partnership between ZTE, MetaX, and MyRepublic Indonesia is set to revolutionize the way content is consumed and distributed in these markets.
