Zappos Founder Nick Swinmurn Returns with RNKD.com, a Reward-Based E-commerce Platform
Nick Swinmurn, the founder of Zappos, has returned to the e-commerce scene with a new platform called RNKD.com. The project, launched by Swinmurn after his previous venture Dethrone faced consumer connection issues, aims to connect customers directly with brands in a unique way.
RNKD.com operates on a reward system that incentivises customers to upload photos of clothing items they own. The more items a customer has from a particular brand, the more rewards they earn. This not only fosters customer loyalty but also provides brands with valuable consumer insights.
Swinmurn's new platform is a departure from his previous experiences. After founding Zappos in 1999 and seeing it acquired by Amazon in 2009, he launched Dethrone in 2008. However, he abandoned the project due to difficulties in connecting with consumers. With RNKD.com, Swinmurn hopes to address this challenge and create a more direct connection between customers and brands.
RNKD.com, founded by Nick Swinmurn, offers a novel approach to customer-brand interaction. By rewarding customers for uploading photos of their clothing items, the platform encourages loyalty and provides brands with useful consumer data. Despite the lack of a specific launch date, RNKD.com is set to disrupt the e-commerce landscape, building on Swinmurn's experience with Zappos.
