Xiaomi introduces HyperOS 2.3 for devices running Android 16, with 69 devices set to receive the firmware update

Xiaomi introduces HyperOS 2.3 for devices running Android 16, with 69 devices set to receive the firmware update

Xiaomi, the global smartphone manufacturer, has announced that a wide range of its devices, including Redmi and Poco models, will receive updates to Android 16 based on HyperOS 2.3. This update, which includes related 2.2 updates, is part of one of the largest coordinated Android updates in Xiaomi’s history, covering over 130 devices globally.

The list of Redmi devices set to receive the update includes models from the K series, starting with the K50 Ultra and extending to the K80 Pro. The Redmi Note series, from Note 12 to Note 14, including all variations, will also be updated. The Redmi Turbo series, Redmi 12, 13, 14R 5G models, Redmi Pad Pro, Pad 2, and SE variants are also included in the rollout.

Poco devices such as the F series (F5, F6, F7, including Pro and Ultra variants), X series (X6, X7, Pro, Neo), M and C series, and Poco Pad are also set to receive the Android 16-based HyperOS 2.3 updates.

In addition, Xiaomi devices like the Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi Pad 6 and 7 series (Pro, Ultra, Max, and S Pro models), and Xiaomi Pad 6s Pro 12.4 will also be updated.

The update introduces new gesture controls, improves performance, revamps animations, and includes updated system apps. The Redmi K70 Ultra is next in line to receive the update, followed by the Xiaomi 14T, 14T Pro, Xiaomi 13T, 13T Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, Civi 4 Pro, Civi 3, Xiaomi Pad 7, Pad 7 Pro, Pad 7 Ultra, Poco M6, M6 5G, M6 Plus, Poco M6 Pro, M6 Pro 5G, Poco X7, X7 Pro, Redmi K70, K70 Pro, K70 Ultra, K70E, Redmi Note 14, Note 14 5G, Note 14 Pro, Note 14 Pro 5G, Note 14 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13, Note 13 Pro, Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Note 13R, Redmi 13, 13 5G, 13R, 13C, 13C 5G, Poco C75, C71, Redmi 14R, 14C, Poco F6, F6 Pro, Poco F7 Pro, F7 Ultra, Redmi A4 5G, A3 Pro, Redmi K80, K80 Pro, and Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, 15 Ultra, 15S Pro are also expected to receive the update.

Xiaomi has unveiled the pre-release version of HyperOS 2.3 for developers, with the beta testing program intended for developers and advanced users. The firmware for the update weighs 7.3 GB, but the release dates for the stable OS version have not been announced yet.

This update marks a significant step forward for Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices, bringing the latest features and improvements to a wide range of their devices. Users can expect smoother performance, enhanced animations, and updated system apps with the Android 16-based HyperOS 2.3 updates.

Gadgets like smartphones, such as the Redmi K50 Ultra and Poco F5, are among those set to receive the Android 16 updates based on HyperOS 2.3, along with Xiaomi devices like the Xiaomi 14 series and the Poco X series.

With the Android 16-based HyperOS 2.3 updates, users of devices such as the Redmi K70 Ultra, Poco X7, and Xiaomi 13T can look forward to improved performance, revamped animations, and new gesture controls.
