Celebrating the Far East: Yakutia's Exhibition at the 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2025)

The 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF-2025), taking place in Yakutia, is set to showcase the region's rich cultural heritage, economic potential, and strategic role in Russia's development.

The Yakutia exhibition will be a testament to the region's strategic priorities: sustainable development, investment openness, technological partnership, and international cooperation. Key initiatives launched for the EEF include Advanced Special Economic Zones, the "Far Eastern Hectare" program, preferential mortgages, and city development master plans.

A separate section will be dedicated to Yakutia's natural heritage, showcasing symbols of the Arctic like the spoon-billed sandpiper, bison, and woolly mammoths. Special attention will be given to tourist attractions, particularly the Lena Pillars Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The cultural program will blend traditional folklore with classical and contemporary art. Traditional Yakut cultural rituals and sports such as the Yakut blessing ceremony (algys) and mas-wrestling are featured to promote cultural identity and attract international attention.

Research and educational initiatives will also be highlighted, with a focus on preserving indigenous languages and integrating academic research into the forum's broader development goals.

The central event of the EEF-2025 will be the "Street of the Far East" exhibition, featuring pavilions from all 11 Far East regions. Representatives from 36 countries and territories have already been confirmed for the EEF-2025.

The republic's pavilion will also host an exhibition of local products, providing visitors with an opportunity to learn about major industrial projects, infrastructure development, digital solutions, and creative industries in Yakutia.

The Far East is considered a strategic role as a transit territory between Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The EEF-2025 is projected to gather approximately 6000 participants, including Vice-Premier of Russia and Presidential Envoy to the Far East, Yuri Trutnev, and the Far East Economic Development Minister, Aleksey Chekunkov.

Together, these initiatives aim to position Yakutia and the Russian Far East as a vibrant hub for economic development, cultural preservation, and international cooperation, leveraging both traditional heritage and modern innovation. The EEF-2025 is expected to significantly contribute to the development of the Far East through investments and new projects.
