Working on a remedy for Nintendo Switch 2's disheartening omission of AR glasses integration, as acknowledged by Xreal.

Updated Perspective:

Hey there, bud! Just snagged the high-powered Nintendo Switch 2 and, hell yeah, I wanted to give it a spin with my fancy-schmancy Xreal One Pro AR glasses!

Instead of the handheld's 7.9-inch display, I was picturing Mario Kart: World racing across an enormous 171-inch virtual screen—all in crisp, full-HD glory with Bose-tuned audio.

But then, my dreams were dashed by a blank screen! A quick visit to the Xreal subreddit confirmed the horror: the Nintendo Switch 2 ain't playin' ball with AR glasses... yet.

I even tried my RayNeo Air 3S and Rokid Max 2, but nada. Other folks tried various workarounds like using HDMI-to-USB-C cables or third-party portable Switch docks, but no cigar.

A ray of hope emerged when a member from the Xreal team spoke up to explain the muddle. Turns out, the Switch 2's improved video signal timing sequence is bumping the Xreal One Pro's ability to recognize and decode the video signal from the console. A classic incompatibility issue, really.

Back in the day, it wasn't unusual for AR glasses to butt heads with plenty of USB-C devices that didn't utilize DisplayPort technology. But this time around, Xreal's team is on the case, and they're promising a solution.

When it'll arrive, they don't say, but they're optimistic that it won't take long. Keep those fingers crossed!

If AR gaming fits your bill, check out the Viture XR Glasses and Rokid AR Joy 2—these babies already work with the Switch 2, but you'll need a hub or adapter to make it happen.
