Wangener Street Closure: Bridge Construction Progresses as Planned
Wangener Street has been fully closed since Monday, with construction work proceeding as planned. The closure is due to the installation of intermediate support and bridge beams for a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge.
The bridge construction, a collaboration between ipv Delft, Karres en Brands, and the engineering office Miebach, is based on plans from the Municipality of Zwolle, ProRail, and the executing company Dura Vermeer Groep. The site will continue under a half-side closure of Wangener Street.
Further full closures are expected from October 27 to 31 and November 17 to 21. These closures are necessary for construction work that can only be carried out under such conditions.
The bridge construction is progressing as planned, with Wangener Street remaining closed until further notice. Additional full closures are scheduled for late October and mid-November to facilitate the ongoing work.
