Vietnam Set to Lead Global Digital Asset Scene with New Law and BDACS-IDGX Partnership
Vietnam is set to become a major player in the global digital asset scene. The National Assembly has passed the Law on the Digital Technology Industry, paving the way for a regulated crypto asset market within five years. This historic milestone is accompanied by a strategic partnership between BDACS, a leading South Korean digital asset custodian, and IDGX, a local operational expert. The joint venture, BDACS IDGX Vietnam, will focus on digital asset exchange, custody services, and infrastructure for corporate integration.
Under the new law, state agencies will manage digital assets to ensure cybersecurity, prevent money laundering, and combat terrorist financing. The partnership between BDACS and IDGX, sealed with a Memorandum of Understanding on September 23, 2025, aims to bring BDACS' Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) services to Vietnam. IDGX will leverage its local operational experience, regulatory networks, and capital resources to support the joint venture's successful market entry.
The joint venture will initially operate under Vietnam's regulatory sandbox program, allowing it to test and refine its services before full-scale launch. BDACS will contribute its expertise in regulatory compliance and blockchain technology, while IDGX will provide local insights and resources. The partnership will focus on digital asset exchange and custody services, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure for DAT company integration.
The BDACS IDGX Vietnam joint venture is set to launch within the year, marking a significant step in Vietnam's digital asset journey. With the new regulatory framework in place, the partnership aims to provide secure, compliant, and innovative digital asset services to Vietnamese companies and investors. The successful integration of digital assets into Vietnam's economy will bring the country closer to its goal of becoming a global digital technology hub.
