Upcoming Launch of Oben Rorr EZ on August 5: Anticipated Features Revealed
The electric vehicle landscape is growing, and Oben is making its mark with the introduction of the Oben Rorr EZ. This new motorcycle, set to hit the roads soon, boasts several upgrades that go beyond its proprietary high-performance LFP battery technology.
The Rorr EZ retains its commuter-focused design and styling elements, such as the round headlight, side panels, and alloy wheels, while offering a modern makeover. The advanced TFT instrument cluster replaces the existing LCD screen, enhancing the rider's interface experience.
The new model is available in three battery variants: 2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 4.4 kWh, priced at ₹99,999, ₹1,19,999, and ₹1,29,999 respectively. The Rorr EZ offers a range of about 175 km per charge, a top speed of 95 km/h, and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
Safety features on the Rorr EZ include Geo-Fencing, Theft Protection, Unified Brake Assist (UBA), and Drive Assist System (DAS). The motorcycle is also said to deliver consistent reliability across India's diverse riding conditions.
The Oben O100 Platform, introduced earlier this year, will underpin sub ₹1 lakh models, including the Rorr EZ. This platform, developed in-house at Oben's R&D centre in Bengaluru, is modular and able to support multiple variants and battery options.
The Oben O100 Platform is future-ready and will allow for seamless integration of emerging technologies and infrastructure upgrades. The high-performance LFP battery technology used in the Rorr EZ has a claimed 50% higher heat resistance and double the lifespan.
The Rorr EZ is available in four vibrant colours: Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White. For those seeking a faster option, Oben has also introduced the Oben Rorr 100, which boasts a top speed of 100 kmph and is priced at ₹1.20 Lakhs.
The Rorr EZ is powered by Oben's proprietary LFP battery technology, which offers twice the battery life compared to traditional batteries. The motorcycle also produces 52 Nm of torque, providing a smooth and powerful ride.
