Trinnov's WaveForming Technology Transforms Home Theater Audio Experience

At the recent Audio Advice Live 25 event, a demonstration of Trinnov's advanced room correction technology, WaveForming, left attendees in awe. The system, featuring Trinnov and Ascendo equipment, was showcased on a high-end 11.13.8-channel setup, including six Trinnov The16 Sub Active Sealed subwoofers and the Ascendo Ascendo speaker system.

The demo began with a rendition of Queen's We Will Rock You from the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, showcasing the system's immersive audio prowess. The low bass in the 13 Hours demo was particularly powerful and controlled, while the song's boom-boom-clap rhythm provided an excellent demonstration of the system's bass capabilities. The sound of bullets flying in the demo came from all around the system, creating a truly immersive experience.

Trinnov's WaveForming technology is a sophisticated low-frequency room correction system that leverages multiple subwoofers and digital processing to optimize bass response and improve overall audio immersion in home theaters. It uses multiple subwoofers distributed in the room to create controlled waveforms that correct problematic room acoustics, reducing peaks (over-amplified bass frequencies) and nulls (bass frequency dropouts).

This technology is integrated into Trinnov’s Altitude processors, such as the Altitude32, which supports large-scale multi-channel configurations and sophisticated DSP processing for immersive audio environments. WaveForming significantly advances bass management beyond traditional equalization by shaping acoustic waveforms, enhancing the holistic home cinema experience with balanced sound.

The demo of Spider-Man: Far from Home and Top Gun: Maverick further showcased the system's capabilities, with both movies demonstrating the system's ability to deliver immersive, detailed, and powerful audio. The 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi demo left the author's jaw on the floor, with its vividly rendered sound effects and dialogue.

The demo involved a high-end system, with the Trinnov Amplitude 32 processor costing around $40,000. The Kaleidscape movie player was used as a source in the demo, while JVC's DLA-NZ900 projector, its top 8K-capable model, provided the visuals.

Attending a future Audio Advice Live event may give you the opportunity to experience a similar high-end demo. With Trinnov's WaveForming technology leading the way, the future of home theater audio looks promising indeed.

The immersive audio performance demonstrated during the event, powered by Trinnov's WaveForming Technology and Ascendo equipment, showcased the potential of gaming and movie experiences. The technology, integrated into Trinnov's Altitude processors like the Altitude32, is not only suited for cinematic soundscapes but also promises to elevate the quality of audio for high-end gaming gadgets. Such innovative technology highlights the evolving landscape of home theater and audio technology.
