Turtle Beach Unveils the Enhanced Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded

Turtle Beach, a leading audio brand in gaming, has announced the pre-order availability of the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. Originally designed by Victrix, this controller is now being relaunched by Turtle Beach, offering several improvements over the original version.

The Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded boasts a redesigned fightpad module for enhanced ergonomics, allowing gamers to rest their wrist on the grip more comfortably. This redesign places key buttons within easier reach, improving execution accuracy, particularly in fighting games.

One of the most significant changes in the Reloaded model is the introduction of Hall Effect technology for the thumbsticks and triggers. This technology uses magnets to detect movement instead of physical contact, eliminating stick drift and ensuring consistent, reliable precision and durability over time.

The Reloaded also offers greater modular customization. While both models are modular, the Reloaded offers enhanced modularity with three modules and 11 interchangeable components. These include various thumbsticks, D-pads, and thumb stick gates, allowing adaptation to different genres and playstyles.

The Reloaded comes in black and white colour options, with a PlayStation version featuring wired 3D audio support toggling across PS5, PS4, and PC. Dedicated Xbox and PlayStation versions ensure compatibility with the latest consoles and Windows. The Reloaded also supports mappable back buttons for quicker inputs without moving thumbs from sticks, and adjustable hair-trigger sensitivity for the hall-effect clutch triggers.

However, it's worth noting that the Reloaded does not seem to have addressed the latency issue present in the original controllers. Also, the PS5 version does not include rumble motors, a feature available in the Xbox version.

The original Victrix Pro BFG controllers, which may soon be discontinued as stock starts to disappear, had potentiometers instead of Hall Effect thumbsticks. These controllers are still available for purchase at various retailers, including Amazon, priced at £140 for Xbox and £139.99 for PS5 (UK version) and $170 for Xbox and $169.99 for PS5 (US version).

For those who already own the original Victrix Pro BFG controllers, Hall Effect modules can be purchased separately to upgrade the thumbsticks.

The Turtle Beach Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is priced at £179.99 on Amazon (UK version) and $209.99 on Amazon (US version). It is scheduled to launch on September 28.
