Havelsan Showcases AI-Enhanced Defense Technologies at IDEF 2025

At the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) in Istanbul, Havelsan, a leading position holder in military and civilian software, presented a broad portfolio of advanced defense products and services under the theme "Artificial Intelligence for Defense."

The fair, held under the theme of "Artificial Intelligence for Defense," saw Havelsan demonstrating a diverse range of products and services at its main stand in Hall 6 of the Istanbul Expo Center. The focus of Havelsan's presentation was on explaining how they have made their high technologies more powerful with the integration of artificial intelligence.

Multi-domain command and control architectures, AI-supported decision support systems, manned-unmanned team solutions, and hybrid operational frameworks were some of the key exhibits at Havelsan's stand. The ADVENT Combat Management System integrated with MAIN, Havelsan's maintenance support assistant, was also presented. This system featured real-time voice command recognition, showcasing Havelsan's commitment to creating smarter, more efficient systems.

Havelsan showcased a variety of land, sea, and air simulators, including the ALTAY tank VR training system, electronic warfare test and training ranges, and VR-based simulators. Joint operational demonstrations of systems like BARKAN, BAHA, and SANCAR across land, air, and naval domains were also held at Ataköy Marina during the fair.

Regarding artificial intelligence integration, Havelsan embeds AI across multiple defense solutions to create smarter, more autonomous, and more efficient systems. AI powers decision support systems that analyze complex battlefield data for enhanced command insights. AI facilitates real-time voice command recognition in combat management systems. The company develops AI applications for autonomous systems, swarm intelligence, and tactical cohesion of digital troops, enabling coordinated operations among multiple platforms.

AI is integrated in electronic, communication, and warfare systems to improve capabilities such as computer vision, natural language processing, and automated decision-making. Havelsan also uses AI for software sustainability through tools like GreenCodex, which optimize code efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and lower environmental impact during software development.

Havelsan introduced Bluevision, an AI-powered navigation assistant for the civil maritime sector, and conducted an interactive demonstration of the MAIN AI product at IDEF 2025. The company also showcased a critical facility security scenario of the artificial intelligence-supported Eyeminer product.

In summary, Havelsan's showcase at IDEF 2025 highlights a strong emphasis on AI-enhanced command and control, autonomous and hybrid systems, simulation and training technologies, and integrated multi-domain defense solutions. This demonstrates Türkiye's growing leadership in AI-powered defense technologies.
