TU Braunschweig bids farewell to its newsletter editor and welcomes a prestigious award recipient, while two start-ups and an institute celebrate significant milestones.

Hannah Kreß, the dedicated editor of TU Braunschweig's newsletter, is set to conclude her internship. Meanwhile, Jun.-Prof. Jana Raupbach has been honoured with the Werner-Baltes Prize 2025 for her innovative research on vegan alternative products and their impact on protein structure and digestion.

In a double triumph for the university, two start-ups from TU Braunschweig, LBR Engineering UG and Gaia Aerospace, have been awarded the ThroughSTARTER Prize. The elenia Institute of High-Voltage Technology and Energy Systems is marking its 100th anniversary with a 'Festkolloquium elenia 100' on October 1 and 2.

An online symposium on 'Global Citizenship in Action' is planned for November 19, with speakers yet to be confirmed. Michael Kraft, who has steered the Botanical Garden of TU Braunschweig for nearly four decades, is retiring. The 39th Braunschweig Fire Protection Days will focus on the risks of high-voltage storage systems and stationary battery systems. The German Research Foundation has also launched a new website offering guidance on funding acknowledgements.

An interdisciplinary research project, 'City of the Future', aims to shape future living environments and will host an informational event on October 9. An online survey conducted in the 'ProDiGI' project has revealed that many students value international teaching offers for their future international careers.

TU Braunschweig looks back on a mix of achievements and farewells, with the departure of Hannah Kreß, the award for Jun.-Prof. Jana Raupbach, and the celebrations for the elenia Institute's 100th anniversary. The university also looks ahead to upcoming events and research projects, including the 'City of the Future' initiative and the online symposium on 'Global Citizenship in Action'.
