Trust Wallet Brings Pro Derivatives Trading to Millions with Aster DEX Partnership
Trust Wallet, a renowned crypto wallet app, is set to transform trading for its millions of users. It will integrate professional-level derivatives trading, including perpetual (perp) trading with up to 100x leverage. This comes through a partnership with Aster DEX, a leading perpetual decentralized exchange (DEX) network.
Aster DEX brings several innovative features to Trust Wallet users. Firstly, it allows yield-bearing collateral, enabling traders to generate yield while using assets as margin. Secondly, it offers competitive fees, with maker fees as low as 0.01% and taker fees around 0.035%, comparable to centralized exchanges.
Aster DEX also ensures swift trades and enhanced security by enabling multi-chain execution without cross-chain bridging. This reduces the risk of attacks and speeds up transactions. Moreover, Aster DEX uses hidden orders to protect traders' strategies from front-running and slippage, a common issue in decentralized trading.
The partnership aims to address Aster DEX's current challenges. While it's growing exponentially, it's still behind Hyperliquid in liquidity. However, with Trust Wallet's integration, Aster DEX hopes to reverse this trend. Additionally, concerns over token distribution—with approximately 96% of ASTER tokens held in just six wallets—raise issues of decentralization and liquidity manipulation. Aster DEX acknowledges these concerns and is committed to maintaining honesty with tokenomics to lower reputational risk.
Trust Wallet's integration of Aster DEX's professional-level derivatives trading is set to enhance the trading experience for its millions of users. Aster DEX, in turn, gains access to a vast user base, potentially boosting its liquidity and addressing some of its current challenges. As the partnership progresses, both parties will need to address concerns over token distribution and ensure the best interests of their users.
