The gaming world is buzzing with excitement as two highly anticipated devices are set to hit the market soon. The ROG Xbox Ally and Lenovo Legion Go 2 are poised to revolutionize portable gaming, with their launch dates and key details starting to emerge.

According to the latest leaks and reports from trusted sources like Dealabs and TechRadar, the ROG Xbox Ally will officially launch on October 16, 2025. Pre-orders for the device are expected to open earlier, on August 20, 2025, coinciding with Xbox's presence at Gamescom 2025, where the handheld will also be showcased publicly.

Key details about the ROG Xbox Ally have been leaked, including the prices for Europe. The basic model is rumoured to cost €599, while the higher-spec Xbox Ally X model could retail for €899. These prices are expected to be officially announced at Gamescom 2025.

Meanwhile, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 is expected to launch soon, but specific details about its price and availability are yet to be revealed. However, early reports suggest that the Lenovo Legion Go 2 could outperform the MSI Claw A8, which is already available in some regions in Europe.

In an exciting turn of events, Sarah Bond, Xbox President, confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch alongside the ROG Xbox Ally. This highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Hollow Knight promises to offer an immersive gaming experience for fans.

Interestingly, both the ROG Xbox Ally and Lenovo Legion Go 2 are set to utilise AMD's flagship mobile processors. The ROG Xbox Ally will be powered by the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, while the Lenovo Legion Go 2 will be powered by AMD's as-yet-unspecified flagship mobile processor.

Valve's SteamOS is gaining popularity for gaming, with more users shifting from Windows 11 to this operating system. It remains to be seen how these new devices will integrate with SteamOS and what impact they will have on the gaming landscape.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch dates for these exciting new devices.
