Tesvolt Ocean's 'Kaptein NMC Compass Core' Battery System Approved for Inland & Maritime Navigation
Tesvolt Ocean's innovative 'Kaptein NMC Compass Core' battery system has received RINA's approval for both inland and maritime navigation. This marks a significant milestone for the company, which specializes in developing robust and versatile battery solutions for smaller vessels with space constraints.
The battery modules, measuring 60.5 cm x 62.4 cm x 14.9 cm and weighing 5.9 kg per core, can be mounted individually at any angle, offering unparalleled flexibility in installation. Remarkably, two people can install these modules without the need for a crane, even in hard-to-reach areas of a ship.
The Kaptein Compass Core battery module has successfully passed all RINA tests, demonstrating its exceptional performance and reliability. Patrizio Di Francesco, North Europe Special Projects Manager and Chief Engineer at RINA Germany in Hamburg, oversaw the certification process. The battery system's robustness has been proven in various challenging conditions.
Tesvolt Ocean designed the Compass Core system specifically for smaller ships with limited space. It can be retrofitted, making it an ideal solution for existing vessels looking to upgrade their energy systems. The battery modules are equipped with a multi-stage protection system that activates at critical temperatures, ensuring the safety of both the system and the vessel.
Furthermore, the battery modules are vibration-resistant and can withstand being laid on the floor and walked on. They operate efficiently with ambient air cooling, requiring no additional cooling systems.
With RINA's approval, Tesvolt Ocean's Kaptein NMC Compass Core battery system is now a certified and trusted solution for both inland and maritime navigation. Its flexibility, robustness, and safety features make it an attractive option for ship owners looking to upgrade or retrofit their vessels with reliable and efficient energy storage systems.
