Testing the Ampler Nova E-Bike, equipped with a USB-C charging port for universal power convenience
The Estonian company Ampler has made a significant stride in the e-bike industry with the launch of its innovative product, the Nova Pro. This e-bike is not just another addition to the market, but a game-changer, thanks to its unique USB-C charging port.
Unlike traditional e-bikes, the charging process for the Nova Pro is tethered. This means that the entire bike needs to be near a power outlet for charging. The charging power for the Nova Pro is 28 volts by 5 amps, providing a maximum charging power of 140 watts.
The compact size of the power adapter and cable for the Nova Pro is reminiscent of those for smartphones and laptops, making it easy to manage and store. The included cable for the Nova Pro is 1.5 meters long, providing ample length for convenient placement of the bike during charging.
One of the standout features of the Nova Pro is the integrated battery, which is built into the frame of the bike. This design choice eliminates the need for a removable battery for separate charging, making the charging process even more straightforward.
The power adapter and cable are included with the purchase of the Nova Pro, ensuring that riders have everything they need to keep their e-bike charged and ready for the next ride. With the Nova Pro, Ampler continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in e-bike technology.
