Brecht's impressive background

His career highlights include working with Adidas, where he served as CIO and head of global supply chain, and Mercedes-Benz, where he was the CIO [1][2].

Brecht's most recent position was as chief digital information officer at Nissan Motor. He earned a degree in electrical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology [5].

Replacing Ben Wishart

Jan Brecht succeeds Ben Wishart, who served as CTO for twelve years. Wishart is stepping down from the executive committee and leaving the company after 12 years as Ahold Delhaize's CTO.
