Streamlined Communication at Media Integration Center Delivered by Dante AV Solution: An Explanation
Liaocheng, a city of five million residents in China, relies on the Liaocheng Media Integration Center for local news dissemination. This network consists of a central office and six sub-centers, all interconnected via a multi-point control unit (MCU) for internal videoconferencing. However, the system suffered from poor audio quality and excessive latency time, affecting the lip sync. To enhance internal communications and replace the outdated MCU, Dante AV transmitters and receivers from ENNE were installed at all locations.
Jiang Wei, head of the technical department at ENNE, was consulted by the Media Center's staff regarding a more robust solution for their problematic MCU. The Media Center required a system with high-quality, low-latency AV transmissions that was reliable and user-friendly. Wei proposed Dante AV due to its seamless integration with existing infrastructures, impressive flexibility, and superior content delivery.
"The strength of Dante AV lies in its effortless assimilation into existing infrastructures while boosting video capabilities," stated Wei. "It offers unparalleled versatility, ensuring premium content delivery."
The Media Center collaborated with its local telecom provider to install dedicated fiber between each sub-center and the central office. ENNE IPE5100 transmitters and IPD5100 receivers were deployed at each sub-center, while the central office received one transmitter and six receivers (one for each sub-center). These devices work harmoniously with the Dante AV-A platform, delivering low-latency, high-quality video and audio transmission. They support 4K UHD resolution and enable flexible signal routing. They are compatible with HDCP 2.2/2.3 and manage LAN and long-distance fiber connections easily.
Dante AV-A also provides 2×2 channels of routable Dante audio that are immediately compatible with Dante-enabled audio products, streamlining distributed AV system design. Its ultra-low video latency ensures a natural and immersive in-room video experience, making it suitable for one-to-many AV distributions like the Liaocheng Media Integration Center.
The Media Center's staff reported significant improvements in latency and performance after the system upgrade. Management and monitoring have also become more convenient and user-friendly compared to the previous system, reducing the workload for news personnel.
"The Liaocheng Media Integration Center was an ideal application for Dante AV," said Wei. "The deployment was smooth. I would strongly recommend Dante AV for similar installations."
