A sophisticated phishing campaign is underway, targeting prominent figures and organisations worldwide. The operation, which has been active since 2024, aims to compromise high-profile accounts for financial gain and fraudulent activity.
The campaign, which has impacted US political figures, international journalists, technology firms, and cryptocurrency organisations, utilises multiple phishing domains and the FASTPANEL website management service. Many malicious sites remain operational, indicating the attackers' ability to sustain long-term phishing efforts.
Attackers trick users into entering their credentials by using fake login notifications and copyright violation warnings. Once compromised, accounts are used to promote fraudulent cryptocurrency schemes or external deceptive sites. Recent incidents suggest the campaign may be expanding its targets to include other social media platforms and crypto-themed scams.
In 2025, the campaign compromised customer data from companies such as Chanel, Google, Air France, KLM, Adidas, Allianz Life, Pandora, LVMH subsidiaries, and Qantas through attacks on third-party CRM and customer service platforms in a voice-phishing campaign. Additionally, fraudulent emails targeted businesses allegedly from the Transparency Register and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), aiming to steal sensitive company data.
To protect against these threats, users should use strong, unique passwords, enable two-factor authentication, avoid clicking on unsolicited links, verify URLs, and initiate password resets directly through official websites. The campaign's sophistication and longevity highlight the importance of robust cybersecurity measures.
