Sony Honda's First Model 'Our Website 1' to Launch in California by End of 2025
Sony Honda Mobility Inc. (SHM) is set to launch its first model, 'our website 1', in California, USA, by the end of 2025. The Mobility Tech Company, established in 2022, aims to revolutionize the industry with innovative features like the e-Motor Sound, a collaboration with Polyphony Digital Inc.
Polyphony Digital, renowned for its authentic driving simulator experience in the 'Gran Turismo' series, will lend its expertise in sound engineering to create the e-Motor Sound for SHM's vehicles. The sound system aims to enhance the driver's connection with the car during acceleration, deceleration, and cornering, providing an inspiring experience suitable for new mobility.
The collaboration between SHM and Polyphony Digital is not new. They have been working together on in-vehicle development since January 8, 2024. Izumi Kawanishi, Representative Director, President, and COO of SHM, expressed his delight in having Polyphony Digital supervise the creation of the optimal sound for SHM's vehicles. Shugo Yamaguchi, President and CEO of Sony Honda Mobility of America Inc., leads this partnership from SHM's side.
The e-Motor Sound is a key element in realizing SHM's vision for new mobility. With Polyphony Digital's expertise and SHM's innovative approach, the first model, 'our website 1', promises an exciting driving experience when it launches in California by the end of 2025.
