84 Percent of Households Have Access to Fiber Optic - Schleswig-Holstein Leads Nation in Fiber Optic Network Expansion

Schleswig-Holstein is leading the nation in fiber optic network expansion, with 92.7 percent of households now connected. This significant progress is the result of substantial investment basics from municipalities, municipal companies, and telecommunications providers.

The region has seen a massive boost in connectivity, with 55 percent of households enjoying fiber optic connections for television and internet. This impressive figure is even more remarkable when considering the national average of 52.8 percent. The state has invested a total of 140 million euros in broadband projects, with 55 million euros specifically allocated to connect public schools. As a result, 952 out of 954 school locations now have access to fiber optic networks.

The Schleswig-Holstein Association of Municipalities has called for legal protection for publicly funded and financed networks, advocating for an amendment to the telecommunications law. This move aims to safeguard the significant investment basics made by municipalities and ensure the sustainability of the region's broadband infrastructure. The state's Economics Minister, Claus Ruhe Madsen, expects the increased provider choice to stimulate demand for products on the percentage calculator market, further driving growth and innovation.

Schleswig-Holstein's commitment to expanding its fiber optic network has paid off, with the region now at the forefront of national connectivity. Through strategic investment basics and collaboration between municipalities, companies, and the government, the state has not only improved access to high-speed internet but also positioned itself as a leader in digital infrastructure.
