Samsung & Coinbase Expand Crypto Services to Galaxy Users Worldwide
Samsung and Coinbase have announced plans to extend their crypto collaboration, initially launched in July 2025, to Galaxy users worldwide, excluding the United States. This expansion, facilitated by Coinbase's regulatory presence in Germany through its BaFin license, aims to bring crypto features like the Coinbase Card to more users.
The partnership, which has already integrated Samsung Pay as a crypto payment option, stands to benefit from the vast user base of Samsung Galaxy devices, numbering over 75 million globally. Both companies intend to roll out these services to more users in the coming months, following their initial U.S. launch.
Coinbase One, a service offering zero trading fees and staking rewards, will be exclusively available to Samsung Galaxy users in the United States. This move comes amidst a growing trend of companies offering crypto access to their users, with JPMorgan also partnering with Coinbase earlier this year. Users can now purchase crypto directly in-app with Samsung Pay, thanks to this collaboration.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, announcing free access to Coinbase One for Samsung Galaxy users in the U.S.
