Alpine Announces Expansion Plans and Sports Car Lineup at Alpine Future Tour

Alpine, the French luxury sports car manufacturer, revealed its ambitious expansion plans and upcoming sports car lineup at the Alpine Future Tour on Monday, 26 June 2023.

The event, attended by Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, and Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, in Enstone (UK), marked a significant milestone for the brand. Alpine currently employs close to 2,000 people, operates 140 sales outlets, and has five design and manufacturing facilities.

As part of its expansion, Alpine will be launching two new D/E segment cars, aiming to broaden its appeal and reach a wider audience. The brand will also be leveraging Renault Group's extensive distribution network for its foreign sales.

Alpine's APP platform will benefit from the SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) expertise of Ampere, ensuring a seamless and innovative digital experience for its customers.

The Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé plant, which invested €36 million in 2017 to relaunch the iconic A110, will continue to play a crucial role in Alpine's production. Les Ulis, Alpine Cars engineering centre, houses 350 sports car experts spread over a 9,300 square-metre site.

Guyancourt is home to a 45-staff design team working on the Alpine brand, while Enstone is the location of the Alpine F1 Team factory, with some 900 employees developing F1 race cars.

Alpine is developing proprietary technologies such as a hydrogen internal combustion engine and ADM (Alpine Dynamic Module) for its exclusive sports models. The brand is also stepping up its exposure to motorsports, including the 2024 World Endurance Championship and Formula 1.

Alpine is supported by key partners like Renault Group, Ampere, Mobilize Financial Services, Google, Verkor, Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, and Maximum Effort Investments in co-creating the sports car of the future. The brand is also working with companies such as Stellantis, Faurecia, and Plastic Omnium.

In addition to the new D/E segment cars, Alpine is planning to launch a comprehensive range of sports cars, including an A110-based roadster and a new A310, a 4-seat sports coupe. A replay of the conference can be accessed via the Alpine Future Tour link.

Despite the challenges faced in the automotive industry, Alpine has managed to secure a respectable 125th position in the 2023 Brand Finance France 150 Study. The brand's commitment to innovation, performance, and French heritage continues to resonate with consumers, positioning Alpine as a key player in the luxury sports car market.
