Bang & Olufsen have unveiled the Beosystem 3000c, an exclusive vinyl-based system that marks the latest addition to the Recreated Classics series. The collection boasts just 100 sets, comprising a revamped version of the iconic 1985 Beogram 3000 turntable and a pair of contemporary Beolab 8 stereo speakers.
Infamous among a certain demographic of music enthusiasts, the Beogram 3000c epitomizes minimalist elegance and high-tech sophistication - a tribute to the last stylistic vestiges of vinyl before the ascendancy of the compact disc.
Sporting a refurbished solid walnut back cover, re-anodized aluminum panels, and a fresh dust lid, the geometrically precise tonearm and platter lend a geometric aesthetic to the design. Each unit is painstakingly rebuilt at Bang & Olufsen’s Factory 5 in Struer, with meticulous attention to detail, such as pearl blasting and brushing of key aluminum components during the hand assembly process.
A set of 100 numbered turntables will be matched with a walnut and aluminum finished pair of Beolab 8 speakers, ensuring strong visual coherence across the system. Apart from vinyl playback through the Beogram 3000c, the speakers stream music from popular streaming services via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and B&O's updated Mozart Platform.
The Recreated Classics series presents an opportunity for Bang & Olufsen to breathe new life into cherished, timeless designs by fusing them with modern technology and sustainability principles.
