Readiness of Foldable Apple iPhone for Manufacturing Unveiled by Fresh Leak
Get ready for the foldable iPhone extravaganza by next autumn, according to the latest reports. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared this exciting news on his platform last Wednesday, revealing that Foxconn is anticipated to commence work on the project in the latter part of Q3 or the early Q4 of 2025 (that's anywhere from August to November, FYI).
In a similar update back in March, Kuo believed the foldable iPhone would make its grand entrance in 2026, on schedule with the predicted launch of the iPhone 18 series. But hey, as Kuo himself warned, "all plans remain subject to change."
One significant development here is that Kuo states the iPhone's foldable display is one of the few components that have already achieved "finalized specifications." Interestingly, this display is slated to be built with Samsung Display panels, with the manufacturer planning to build an annual production capacity of 7-8 million foldable panels intended for the 2026 foldable iPhone.
As for the other components, Kuo mentioned that many specifications, such as the hinge, are still under development.
