Rapid Charging Capabilities Unveiled for Motorola's Upcoming Budget Smartphone
New Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 Offers Fast Charging and Stylus Functionality
Motorola has announced the release of its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G Stylus 2025. Priced at $400, the device boasts a host of impressive features, including a built-in stylus and fast charging capabilities.
The Moto G Stylus 2025 comes with a triple-array camera system, featuring a 50-MP primary rear camera, a 13-MP ultrawide camera, and a three-in-one light sensor for tempered photography. The device also sports a 6.7-inch Super HD POLED display, capable of reaching 3,000 nits in sunlight.
One of the standout features of the Moto G Stylus 2025 is its fast charging capabilities. The smartphone supports 68W TurboPower fast charging, which can charge its 5,000 mAh battery to 90% in about 30 minutes and reach full charge in around 40 minutes using Motorola's custom TurboPower protocol with an official charger.
However, compared to OnePlus's SuperVOOC technology, which is known for its fast charging speeds, the Moto G Stylus 2025's charging speed is slightly slower. While OnePlus's SuperVOOC technology can reach up to 240W in some cases, it typically offers charging speeds above 80W, enabling a 0 to 100% charge in roughly 20-30 minutes, depending on battery capacity.
| Aspect | Moto G Stylus 2025 (68W TurboPower) | OnePlus SuperVOOC (typically 80-100W+) | |--------------------------|-------------------------------------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------------------| | Peak wired charging speed| 68W (custom TurboPower protocol, requires official charger sold separately) | Typically 80-100W+, proprietary fast charging protocol | | Full charge time | ~40 minutes for 5000 mAh battery | Around 20-30 minutes for comparable battery sizes | | Charging compatibility | Limited with third-party chargers; needs official charger for full speed[1] | Generally similarly proprietary but often bundled with charger | | Battery capacity | 5000 mAh | Varies, usually 4500-5000 mAh in OnePlus phones | | Wireless charging | Supports 15W wireless charging | Some OnePlus phones support wireless charging, speeds vary |
The Moto G Stylus 2025's stylus can be used as a mouse pointer, for Sketch to Image in Motorola's Note app, or for Android's Circle to Search feature. The device will be available in two Pantone-colored styles: Gibraltar Sea and Surf the Web.
The Moto G Stylus 2025 is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 mobile processor and 8GB of RAM. It will be compared with the Google Pixel 9a and other budget lineup devices. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting April 17.
