Questcorp carries on with its gold and silver project's excavation phase in Mexico's La Union, in preparation for drilling operations.
Questcorp Mining Inc., a Canadian mineral exploration company, is making significant strides in advancing its La Union Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. The company, in collaboration with operator Riverside Resources, has completed preliminary exploration activities and is now focused on a well-defined exploration and drilling plan.
The current phase of exploration includes Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysics surveys, drone magnetic surveys, surface geochemistry, and detailed mapping to refine drill targets. Notable findings from historic sampling include high-grade mineralization, such as 59.4 grams per metric tonne (g/t) gold and 833 g/t silver, alongside significant base metals.
In the coming months, Questcorp is preparing for a maiden drill program totaling over 1,500 metres, consisting of approximately 7 diamond drill holes. These holes will range in depth from about 150 to 350 metres each and will target three historic mine areas: Union, North Union, and Famosa zones. The drilling campaign is planned for mid to late Q3 2025, with a focus on testing the carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) targets and potential porphyry copper mineralization.
Questcorp CEO, Saf Dhillon, emphasized the importance of "de-risking the upcoming 1,500-metre drill programme through alteration mapping and IP geophysics," ensuring well-defined targets ahead of the drilling campaign. The property spans 2,520 hectares, and the company is working towards full ownership by completing required option payments and exploration commitments.
Riverside Resources, the operator of the La Union Gold-Silver Project, is arranging for various geophysical contractors to undertake orientation surveys and follow-up detailed surveys. The La Union Project is a CRD project hosted by Neoproterozoic sedimentary rocks. Riverside Resources has successfully completed two IP lines over the La Union and La Union Norte mines, highlighting chargeability and resistivity features at depth.
The objective of these surveys is to confirm and enhance the drill targets at the La Union Gold-Silver Project. Mineralization in the La Union Project occurs as polymetalic veins, replacement zones, and shear zones with high-grade metal content. The La Union Project demonstrates potential for large gold discoveries potentially above an even larger porphyry Cu district potential.
Questcorp Mining Inc. is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in North America, holding options for the North Island Copper Property and the La Union Project. The La Union Gold-Silver Project covers an area of 25 square kilometres. Both properties are subject to royalty obligations. For further information, contact Saf Dhillon at [email protected] or (604) 484-3031.

Technology plays a crucial role in the exploration process at Questcorp Mining Inc's La Union Gold-Silver Project. Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysics surveys, drone magnetic surveys, and detailed mapping are all technological tools being utilized to refine drill targets. Additionally, Riverside Resources is working with geophysical contractors to undertake orientation surveys and follow-up detailed surveys, further demonstrating the integration of technology in the project's efforts to confirm and enhance drill targets.
