Polestar 3's Ice Track Test Drive Leaves Journalists Astounded
Polestar 3, the latest electric SUV from the Swedish automaker, has left journalists awestruck after a recent test drive on a bespoke ice track in Jokkmokk, Sweden. The car's impressive handling and performance capabilities have been praised, with one journalist describing the driving experience as 'a 15-out-of-10 fun'.
The test track, carved into the ice of a metre-thick frozen lake, was designed with the help of Joakim, an accomplished rally driver. This challenging environment allowed Polestar 3 to showcase its agility and control. The car's Scandinavian-inspired design, with a 50-50 weight balance, hints at its performance pedigree.
Polestar 3's handling impressed journalists with its precise control, responsive steering, and smooth power delivery. The car's light and compact feel was unlike any other vehicle experienced by the journalists. Under the hood, Polestar has developed its own torque vectoring system with electrically operated dual-clutch packs. This system, in conjunction with the BorgWarner-developed Torque Vectoring Dual Clutch (TVDC) system, allows for lightning-fast torque distribution to each rear wheel, up to 100% from side to side. This results in optimal traction and sharp cornering responses, even on slippery ice.
Polestar 3's capabilities have been thoroughly tested and approved by journalists in extreme conditions. With production already underway, the car is set to hit the roads soon, bringing its 15-out-of-10 fun driving experience to customers worldwide.
