PI Launches F-690.S1 SpaceFAB: Revolutionizing 6-Axis Positioning Stages
PI (Physik Instrumente) has launched the F-690.S1 SpaceFAB, a high-performance 6-axis motorized positioning stage platform. This advanced system supports payloads up to 2kg and can operate in inverted orientations, expanding its versatility.
The F-690.S1 SpaceFAB is equipped with an ACS-based SPiiPlusEC motion controller, driving ultra-low-jitter NanoPWM drives and 24-bit A/D converters. Each stage supports a linear bearing mounted on a wedge with ball-joint connections, enabling full 6-DOF motion.
The platform features a unique hybrid kinematic design with three symmetrically arranged XY nanopositioning stages. It supports Cartesian commands and has software-defined pivot points for simplified system integration. Additionally, it comes with preloaded high-speed photonics alignment routines for efficient signal acquisition and device characterization.
PILightningFast First Light Search can detect first light over a 500×500μm2 area in just 0.3 seconds. FMPA Meander and Spiral Scans enable full-area spiral scans of 100×100μm2 and 500×500μm2 in as little as 0.3 seconds and 2 seconds, respectively. Absolute encoders provide 1 nanometer resolution, and pneumatic brakes ensure positional safety during power loss.
The F-690.S1 SpaceFAB, with its advanced features and high precision, is set to revolutionize positioning stage platforms. Its unique design, high-speed capabilities, and safety features make it an attractive option for various scientific and industrial applications.
