Peugeot E-308 Offers Excellent Value in Electric Vehicle Market
Peugeot's E-308 electric vehicle offers excellent value with a £3,000 difference between its two trim levels, Allure and GT. The government grant further enhances its affordability, with prices starting at £33,000 for the mild hybrid and £37,000 for the PHEV.
The entry-level mild hybrid Allure trim is well-equipped with 17in alloy wheels, LED lights, a 10in touchscreen, voice recognition, heated mirrors, and a reversing camera. Upgrading to the GT trim adds luxury features like 18in alloys, Matrix LED headlights, a 3D digital cluster, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, aluminium door sills, front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and a frameless rearview mirror.
The PHEV's optional 7.4kW on-board charger ensures a full battery in just 1hr 55mins using a wallbox, or 3hr 50mins without it. Competitors like the Audi A3 and Mercedes A-Class cost around £2,000 more, while a base model VW Golf is £2,000 cheaper. The Ford Focus and BMW 1 Series offer similar pricing.
The Peugeot E-308's competitive pricing and generous trim levels make it an attractive choice in the electric vehicle market. With a £3,000 difference between trim levels and a government grant, buyers can enjoy a well-equipped car at an affordable price.
