O2 & Virgin Media O2 Launch 'England, Meet England' Campaign for Women's Rugby World Cup 2025

O2 and Virgin Media O2 have launched a powerful campaign, 'England, meet England', to promote the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 in the UK. The campaign aims to make England's Red Roses, the world-class women's rugby team, household names and national icons. Rachel Swift, Brand and Advertising Director at Virgin Media O2, stated that the campaign seeks to connect fans to the team and grow the women's game.

O2's commitment to parity in rugby is evident in its equal investment across both men's and women's teams. The company has partnered with the Women's Sports Trust and the RFU to further support the growth of women's rugby. As an official partner of the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025, O2 will provide fans with Priority ticket access, live experiences, and an opening performance by Anne-Marie.

The campaign's hero film, 'Dive', directed by Marcus Söderlund, features the Red Roses skydiving in formation, landing in a packed stadium, and ready for battle. The film was developed by O2 and VCCP, with Alice Seabright serving as the director of the cinematographic hero film. The campaign also includes striking outdoor visuals, social content, and an AI-powered team talk allowing fans to submit personal messages of support. Adding a touch of humor, British comedian Asim Chaudhry's character Chabuddy G appears as the Red Roses' 'PR Manager' in a mockumentary-style social series.

O2 stores will swap their iconic logo for the Rugby Rose and staff will wear England Rugby shirts in solidarity across host cities, further demonstrating the company's commitment to supporting the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 and growing the women's game. The campaign, 'England, meet England', is O2's most powerful women's rugby campaign to date, aiming to connect fans to the team and make the Red Roses national icons.
