The Information Security Officer (ISO) will play a crucial role in maintaining the information security management system (ISMS) in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and BaFin requirements in Germany. The ISO will be responsible for identifying security risks and vulnerabilities related to IT infrastructure and banking operations, and for developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, and professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are highly valued. Candidates with experience in information security, ideally within financial services or banking, are preferred. A strong analytical, communication, and project management skillset, along with the ability to work cross-functionally and handle confidential information securely, are essential.
The head of the unit will be responsible for developing and monitoring the business continuity plan, ensuring that critical processes continue to run even in exceptional situations. As the information security officer, emergency officer, and central outsourcing officer, the head of the unit will be the contact person for the board and will significantly shape strategic and operational topics.
In addition to the core responsibilities, the head of the unit will further develop the ISMS within the framework of the 2nd line of defense and take into account regulatory requirements, such as DORA. The position offers 32 vacation days, two bank holidays, and the possibility of vacation purchase. The role also includes regular team and company events.
