Safello Deepens Commitment to Decentralized AI Network Bittensor

Over the course of 48 hours, the leading Nordic cryptocurrency exchange, Safello, acquired 229 units of TAO, the native token of the AI-driven Bittensor protocol. This move signifies the exchange's strengthened bet on the decentralized AI network.

Currently, Safello's crypto treasury comprises 8 Bitcoins, 75 Ethereum, and 698 units of TAO. With approximate market values of $110,864 for BTC, $2,653 for ETH, and $465 for TAO, the exchange's crypto holdings top $1.4 million, significantly boosted by TAO's recent price rally.

The acquisition marks the third round of TAO accumulation for Safello in May. In a strategy reminiscent of dollar-cost averaging, the exchange offloaded 38 ETH, selling 19 ETH on each of the two days, to acquire the TAO tokens at an average cost of €370 per token.

TAO, the native asset of Bittensor, operates as a permissionless AI economy. Unlike traditional crypto protocols, Bittensor rewards participants for training and serving machine learning models. Its unique blend of AI and decentralization has earned it growing interest from both retail and institutional investors.

Safello's acquisition marks a significant step as one of the first regulated European exchanges to actively hold a decentralized AI asset as part of its strategic reserves. The move parallels a broader institutional pivot toward AI-native crypto assets, with companies like MicroStrategy and Galaxy Digital following similar strategies.

Safello's treasury strategy highlights an evolving approach among regulated institutions, which are beginning to diversify beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, particularly in areas where emerging narratives like AI intersect with blockchain. The exchange reaffirms the belief that AI-native crypto assets will play a crucial role in shaping the future of internet-scale intelligence.
