Nissan Fortifies Supply Chain and Cybersecurity with KPMG, PwC Partnerships
Nissan has taken significant steps to fortify its supply chain management (SCM) and cybersecurity. The automotive titan has collaborated with KPMG and PwC, and established an internal unit focused on digital innovation and cybersecurity. These moves aim to future-proof its SCM and enhance its resilience.
Nissan's regional senior director of SCM, Gerardo de la Torre, has underscored the need for structural changes to accelerate digitalisation and innovative solutions. The company plans to expand its SCM team to support digitalisation, data analytics, compliance, and cybersecurity initiatives.
In the inaugural year of its Manufacturing Cybersecurity Supplier Program (MCSP), Nissan evaluated 30 suppliers in conjunction with KPMG. This year, the company aspires to assess 80 suppliers. Furthermore, Nissan has partnered with PwC to develop and launch a tier-n solicitation application for regional and global supplier management.
Nissan's proactive stance on SCM and cybersecurity is clear in its partnerships with KPMG and PwC, and the establishment of an internal unit led by Gerardo de la Torre. The company strives to transition towards a more proactive and resilient supply chain using digital solutions, demonstrating its commitment to future-proofing its operations.
