Next month's playability of Silksong is conditional upon accessing Gamescom.
Get ready, gamers! The much-anticipated Gamescom 2025 is just around the corner, and Xbox has some exciting news for fans. In an Xbox Wire post, Maxi Graeff, Xbox's gaming marketing lead for Germany, shared details about the event, which is set to take place.
The event will feature playable demos of many highly-anticipated games, including Grounded 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (with new DLC: The Order of Giants), Age of Empires, Age of Mythology: Retold, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Roblox (on handheld devices), Sea of Thieves (on handheld devices), Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 (on handheld devices), and more.
Over 20 playable titles in total will be available from Xbox Game Studios and third-party partners across more than 120 gaming stations. Notably, the event will offer hands-on experiences with both the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X devices.
In addition to the playable demos, The Outer Worlds 2 will have a theatre experience at the booth, delving into its late-stage capitalistic setting. Hollow Knight: Silksong will also have a new demo on PC or ROG Xbox Ally X.
The event will also host a World of Warcraft celebration focused on the upcoming Midnight expansion and its anticipated housing feature. Bethesda is also hosting its own broadcast from the show floor, starting on Friday.
For those unable to attend the event in person, a live broadcast will be available, covering announcements at Gamescom 2025 starting at 9 AM ET on Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21.
