New PV park in Holzheim acquired by eprimo, expanding its solar energy portfolio

**Holzheim Solar Park: A Milestone in Germany's Energy Transition**

In the picturesque region of Holzheim, Bavaria, a significant stride has been made in Germany's commitment to renewable energy. The Holzheim Solar Park, a collaborative project between eprimo and the RenerVest Group, is now fully operational and feeding clean energy into the regional grid.

The park, which became operational in June 2025, has an installed capacity of around 2.85 megawatt peak, generated from tens of thousands of photovoltaic panels strategically installed across several hectares. This capacity allows the park to produce clean energy sufficient to power around 1,200 two-person households annually, saving approximately 900 tons of CO2 per year.

The project has been made possible through the financial backing of ZukunftsCent, a financing method used by eprimo, and renervest immobilien GmbH, a company of the RenerVest Group, which holds the remaining 70% of the Holzheim Solar Park GmbH & Co. KG.

As part of Germany's Energiewende (energy transition) initiative, the Holzheim Solar Park plays a crucial role in achieving the country's goal of substantial increases in renewable energy generation, targeting carbon neutrality by 2045. The park directly supports these goals by adding clean solar capacity, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions in Bavaria, a region traditionally dependent on conventional energy sources.

The technical sophistication of the park is evident in its state-of-the-art solar modules, smart monitoring systems, and battery storage solutions. These features optimise power generation, maintenance, and grid integration, making the park a model for renewable energy development.

The socio-economic impacts of the project are equally significant. Jobs have been created in the construction and maintenance phases, and the project promotes local economic growth. Additionally, it raises public awareness and acceptance of renewable energy projects through community engagement and educational outreach.

The Holzheim Solar Park is the fourth successful PV project by eprimo and the RenerVest Group in Holzheim, and it supports the expansion effect. eprimo financed its own share of the Holzheim Solar Park using the eprimo ZukunftsCent introduced in 2021.

Katja Steger, CEO of eprimo, expressed her delight about the new solar plant, stating, "We are proud to contribute to Germany's energy transition with innovative and sustainable solutions like the Holzheim Solar Park."
