Nemetschek's candidate, Dax, reports a confident outlook on financial growth from their Finance Chief.
Nemetschek on the Brink of Joining Germany's Top Stock Market League
Nemetschek, a software company based in Munich, is one step closer to joining Germany's top stock market league, the DAX. According to predictions by JPMorgan, the company could potentially join the DAX as early as September 2025 [1].
Louise Öfverström, the CFO of Nemetschek, expressed her delight at the potential listing, stating it would be a confirmation of the company's strong business model and the culmination of Prof. Nemetschek's vision and pioneering spirit.
Founded by civil engineer Georg Nemetschek in 1963, the company has grown significantly over the years. Today, Nemetschek's software portfolio covers the entire lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects. The company also offers software for film productions, the gaming, and advertising industry to create two- and three-dimensional digital content.
Nemetschek has more than doubled its market capitalization to around 15 billion euros in the past two years. The company is projected to exceed 1 billion euros in revenue for the first time in 2023 and potentially reach 2 billion euros by 2030.
Transparent and continuous communication is crucial for Nemetschek, especially as it transitions from a license to a subscription model. The subscription model is expected to boost profitability through economies of scale, while also providing added value to customers by allowing for more features and updates. In the first half of 2023, the subscription model accounted for approximately 92% of Nemetschek's 573 million euros in revenue. Louise Öfverström expects the subscription model to account for around 95% of the revenue, but not 100%, due to some customers requiring licenses.
If Nemetschek were to join the DAX, daily business would continue as usual, according to Öfverström. The company already has good access to its investors and can convince them with its capital market performance.
Louise Öfverström, who has been on the board for about two and a half years, serves as CFO responsible for finance, IT, and legal affairs at Nemetschek. Before joining Nemetschek, she worked in software companies for about two and a half years after working in industrial companies like Linde, MAN, and ThyssenKrupp.
The Deutsche Börse will announce changes to its indices at the beginning of September. While there is no confirmation that Nemetschek was promoted to the DAX in September 2022, the company's strong performance and potential listing suggest that it is well-positioned for success in the future.
