Nasdaq Resumes Trading After Technical Issue Resolution

After a technical disturbance that halted trading for cash equities, exchange-traded products (ETPs), and equity derivatives on Nasdaq Stockholm, Nasdaq Helsinki, and Nasdaq Iceland, normal trading resumed on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

The issue, caused by a failure in Nasdaq's core INET trading platform, stopped publishing order book data shortly after 5 p.m. CET on Tuesday, July 29. As a result, Nasdaq Nordic canceled all trades executed from the time the issue began at 17:00:08 CET and communicated these cancellations to market participants.

The root cause of the problem was identified and fixed by Nasdaq. The NLS feed for trade information and trade data via GCF is now functioning as expected. However, the Extended Exchange Trade Product (ETP) markets on Nasdaq Helsinki, Stockholm, and Copenhagen remain halted.

Nasdaq is preparing a fix for the technical issue, but as of now, the INET trading system is still not disseminating order information for the INET trading system via ITCH and GCF feeds. The cancellation of trades will continue to be communicated to affected members on OUCH and FIX sessions.

It's important to note that Nasdaq expects to open markets per normal tomorrow (Wednesday), and the NLS feed for trade information and trade data via GCF is functioning as expected. However, Nasdaq has not yet announced any changes to its newsletter sign-up process.

This incident marks a rare disruption in trading for Nasdaq Nordic, but the exchange is working diligently to ensure a smooth return to normal operations. For the latest updates, traders are advised to monitor Nasdaq's official communications and platforms.
