Mitsubishi Halts Colt Production, Leaving Fans Bewildered
Mitsubishi has announced the end of production for its Colt model, a decision that has left many buyers bewildered. The cult car, which made a comeback two years ago, has struggled to compete with other compact cars in recent years.
The Colt model, currently priced at €15,900, has not been able to match the sales of other compact cars in the last two years. Despite its relatively low base price, demand has been lacklustre. Mitsubishi has decided to discontinue the model, with the last cars rolling off the production line this year. Takao Kato, the CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, made the decision to cease production.
Buyers can still purchase the Colt model, with discounts available on the remaining stock. However, the model is not planned to be presented again, as Mitsubishi focuses on higher-demand models.
The Colt model's production will cease this year, with no plans for a return. Mitsubishi's decision to discontinue the model has been met with incomprehension from many buyers, given its cult status and relatively affordable price point.
