Milestone & Axis Unveil Game-Changing Access Control at GSX 2025
Milestone Systems and Axis Communications have joined forces to unveil AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect at the upcoming Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2025 in New Orleans. Derek Wang, Product Manager for Access Control at Axis Communications, hailed the integration as a 'game-changer' for users of Axis-Milestone systems. The new solution will be showcased at Booth 719 during the event.
The joint solution combines access control and video surveillance within the XProtect Smart Client interface. It enables operators to monitor and investigate door activity, automate entry events, and review video without toggling between applications. The system supports up to 1,000 doors per server and accommodates 50,000 credentials, facilitating centralized management of large-scale deployments.
Sebastian Döllner, Vice President for Technology Partnerships & Open Platform at Milestone, emphasized the importance of supporting millions of Axis cameras in XProtect. Wang described the integration as a significant enhancement for Axis-Milestone system users.
AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect is set to debut at GSX 2025, marking the first third-party software installation available through XProtect Update Manager. The integration promises to streamline operations and enhance security for users of Axis-Milestone systems.
