Mercedes-Benz Unveils Intelligent, Electric CLA with 320kW Charging
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new CLA, its most intelligent, efficient, and emotionally engaging model to date. The fourth-generation CLA integrates advanced driver-assist systems, electric powertrains, and cutting-edge AI technology.
The new CLA advances with an expanded SAE Level 2+ autonomous driving package, set to roll out in select markets. By 2025, China will be the first to experience MB.Drive Pro, bringing urban autonomous driving features, with North America following in 2026.
The CLA's electric revolution is evident in its two fully electric variants: the CLA 250+ EQ and CLA 350 4Matic EQ. Both models feature an advanced 800V battery architecture, high-density silicon-oxide anodes, and two-speed transmissions for enhanced efficiency. The CLA 250+ EQ offers a range of 694 to 792km (WLTP), while the CLA 350 4Matic EQ provides a range of 672 to 771km (WLTP). The CLA 350 4Matic EQ can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.9 seconds, matching the performance of the previous-gen AMG CLA 45 S.
The CLA 250+ EQ can gain up to 325km of range in just 10 minutes using 320kW DC fast charging. This rapid charging capability is made possible by the vehicle's 800V architecture.
The CLA's infotainment system, MBUX, is powered by Google Gemini AI and ChatGPT-4o. This advanced AI technology supports a multi-turn virtual assistant capable of handling natural conversations and responding to emotions in real-time.
