McLaren commemorates a milestone at Le Mans with the release of the restricted 750S special edition model.
McLaren Unveils Exclusive 750S Le Mans Edition
McLaren Automotive has revealed the limited-edition 750S Le Mans, a tribute to the iconic 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR. The new model, developed by Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV), boasts visual details and finishes that hark back to the original race car.
The 750S Le Mans comes in two paint options: Le Mans Grey or McLaren Orange, with a gloss-black roof scoop and bespoke 5-spoke LM wheels. Under the hood, the car maintains the same formidable 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the base 750S, producing 552kW of power.
One of the standout features of the 750S Le Mans is the new MSO High Downforce Kit. This aerodynamic upgrade increases downforce by 10% over the standard 750S, thanks to a raised carbon fibre rear spoiler, a beefed-up front splitter, and a revised under-wing panel. This boost in downforce translates to improved track performance, making the Le Mans edition even more agile and responsive.
McLaren Automotive Chief Commercial Officer, Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, stated that the exclusive 750S Le Mans is the first McLaren Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK aerodynamic enhancements.
Inside, buyers can choose between two unique Le Mans-themed trims, each featuring debossed headrest branding, dedicated floor mats, and a bespoke plaque.
With only 50 examples planned, the 750S Le Mans promises exclusivity for its lucky owners. The base 750S is already one of the lightest and most agile cars in its class, and the Le Mans edition adds another layer of motorsport edge.
Optional add-ons exclusive to the Le Mans model include a full visual carbon fibre upgrade, track brake kit with F1 Gold callipers, and carbon fibre louvre packs. For those who appreciate the brand's racing heritage, a track record plaque marking McLaren's Triple Crown achievement can be added to the front luggage compartment.
The McLaren 750S Le Mans is built on McLaren's Monocage II carbon chassis and equipped with Proactive Chassis Control III, ensuring a smooth and dynamic driving experience. This limited-edition coupe is set to make its mark on the supercar world, combining the heritage of the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR with the performance and technology of the modern 750S.
