Martin Audio Unveils BlacklineQ Series: Professional Passive Loudspeakers with Enhanced Coverage and Ease of Installation
Martin Audio, a renowned name in professional audio, has announced the launch of the BlacklineQ Series - a reimagined lineup of passive loudspeakers designed for both portable and installed sound reinforcement applications. The new series includes two-way point-source speakers, column speakers, and subwoofers, all aimed at providing Martin Audio's expected sound quality "at an accessible price point."
Key Features of the BlacklineQ Series
The BlacklineQ Series boasts several notable features, including:
- Improved Acoustic Design: Offering better coverage, consistency, and control, the BlacklineQ Series speakers are designed to deliver superior sound quality.
- Differential Dispersion Technology: This technology, introduced in both full-range point-source and column speakers, shapes the high-frequency output with a tighter horizontal pattern at the top and a wider angle at the bottom. This optimizes sound projection to the audience while reducing energy directed at ceilings and walls.
- Versatile Deployment: Point-source speakers in the BlacklineQ Series have multi-angle, symmetrical wooden enclosures that can be mounted vertically or horizontally with multiple mounting options such as wall brackets, yokes, eyebolts, and pole mounts.
- Column Speakers: Martin Audio is debuting its first column loudspeakers with the BlacklineQ Series, offering the passive two-way QC44 and QC26 designs suitable for speech and music. These speakers are available in black or white finishes and come with comprehensive mounting choices.
- Passive Subwoofers: The BlacklineQ Series includes three passive subwoofers - the Q210 (2×10"), Q118 (1×18"), and Q218 (2×18") - that extend the low-frequency response suitable for various applications.
Intended Applications
The BlacklineQ range is designed for a wide range of applications, including portable sound reinforcement for live sound, theatre, DJs, and corporate events. It is also suitable for unobtrusive stage monitoring and permanent installation in clubs, hospitality venues, conference rooms, and houses of worship.
Availability and Debut
Martin Audio is planning to ship the new BlacklineQ Series next month, and it will make its in-person debut at InfoComm Asia. Each BlacklineQ subwoofer enclosure includes an M20 35mm (1.4") pole-mount fitting for integration with all loudspeakers in the series. The subwoofers are constructed from plywood and feature slot ports for efficient design and reduced noise turbulence.
