Lörrach Hospitals' Digital Infrastructure Temporarily Disrupted by Server Overheating

On Saturday, the digital infrastructure of district hospitals in Lörrach faced a temporary disruption. The Kliniken des Landkreises Lörrach GmbH, managing the hospitals, reported the issue and later confirmed the restoration of functionality in the evening.

The cause of the disruption was an overheating server system due to the failure of an air conditioner overnight. During the outage, only births were being accepted at the hospitals. All other services, including the emergency room, were redirected to other hospitals to ensure patient safety. Despite the inconvenience, there was no danger for inpatients during the digital infrastructure failure.

By the evening, the disruption was completely resolved, and the emergency room along with all other areas of the hospitals were operational again.
