Link Electronics has launched the Gemini Dual Caption Encoder, a cutting-edge solution for captioning in broadcast environments. The Gemini supports multiple standards and reduces rack space, making it a versatile choice for various settings.

The Gemini Dual Caption Encoder supports both line 21/22 CTA-608 waveform and SMPTE 334 Caption Data Packet (CDP) for SD and HD encoding. It's a 3G/HD/SD-SDI closed caption encoder with six versatile communication ports and supports IP caption delivery.

The Gemini stands out with its ability to accept two simultaneous 3G/HD/SD-SDI data streams and provide two caption-encoded outputs per input. This allows two captioners to send data independently to separate SDI streams or a single captioner to feed both, maximizing workflow efficiency. It also reduces rack space and streamlines network connections by enabling two caption encoders through a single Ethernet port.

The Gemini ensures signal quality that exceeds industry standards while preserving ANC data, including audio. Its XDS packet capability includes Parental Guidance (V-chip) and Transmission Station Identification (TSID).

The Gemini Dual Caption Encoder is designed to serve a wide variety of environments, including broadcast studios, educational institutions, and government organizations. With its support for multiple standards, reduced rack space, and efficient workflow capabilities, the Gemini is a notable addition to Link Electronics' product lineup.
