Lenovo's Latest Gaming Phone - Leaked Prices and All Essential Info You Shouldn't Miss Out On

Get ready, gamers! Lenovo is set to release its latest gaming handheld, the Legion Go 2, later this year. The device, first announced at CES 2025, is poised to shake up the market, competing with the likes of the Xbox Ally, Xbox Ally X, MSI Claw A8, OneXPlayer, and AYANEO.

According to the latest rumors and official announcements, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 will be powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, an 8-core Zen 5 processor with AI enhancements. This is a significant upgrade from the initial leaks, which suggested an 8-core Zen 4 processor.

The device's graphics will be handled by the AMD Radeon 780M, a RDNA 3 integrated graphics processor. While earlier leaks pointed towards 12 compute units, the official announcement seems to suggest a similar RDNA 3 iGPU paired with the Z2 Extreme CPU.

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 will come with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a faster memory standard than initially reported. This, coupled with the 2TB M.2 SSD storage, promises smooth and speedy performance.

The device boasts a stunning 8.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of 500 nits. It also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and covers 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

In terms of battery life, the Legion Go 2 is expected to have a capacity of 74-75 Wh, providing ample power for your gaming sessions. The device also features modern connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth (exact version yet to be confirmed).

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 will offer detachable controllers, a built-in kickstand, and a trackpad for a comfortable and immersive gaming experience. There are even hopes of a potential SteamOS variant for the device.

As for the price, a prototype video leak suggested a price of around $1,000 USD for the Lenovo Legion Go 2. This is a significant jump from the $699 USD price tag of the original Lenovo Legion Go. Recent leaks for the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X suggest those devices could be priced at €599 and €899, respectively.

With its high-end specifications, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 is shaping up to be a formidable competitor in the gaming handheld market. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to its rumored September 2025 launch window.
