Pixel Watch 4 Pricing Leaked: No Significant Increase from Previous Generation
The long-awaited pricing details for Google's Pixel Watch 4 have been leaked, and it appears that the tech giant is maintaining a consistent approach to pricing compared to its previous model.
The 41mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi (non-LTE) model of the Pixel Watch 4 will start at $349 in the US, and €399 in the Eurozone. The 45mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi model will cost $399 in the US and around €399 in the Eurozone as well.
For those opting for the LTE models, an additional $50 premium applies over each Bluetooth/Wi-Fi counterpart. This means the 41mm LTE model will be priced at $399 in the US and about €499 in Europe, while the 45mm LTE model will cost $449 in the US and about €549 in Europe.
This maintains a consistent $50/$50 premium for LTE connectivity over the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi models, with the larger 45mm size also costing $50/$50 more than the smaller 41mm version. These prices are remarkably close to those of the Pixel Watch 3, indicating no significant price increase for the Pixel Watch 4 series.
Purchasers of the Pixel Watch 4 will receive six months of Fitbit Premium and one month of YouTube Premium bundled with the watch. This places the Pixel Watch 4 in the premium smartwatch range, competing with devices like Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 7/8 and Apple Watch Series 9.
It's unclear if the pricing difference is a regional one. The Pixel Watch 4 leak does not mention any price reduction, and it seems that the LTE models are reportedly returning to the original $50 difference in pricing compared to Bluetooth/Wi-Fi models, which was increased to $100 with the Pixel Watch 3.
A previous European report suggested that pricing remains unchanged for the Pixel Watch 4, and the 41mm LTE version of the Pixel Watch 4 is reportedly priced at $399.
One potential concern is the new charger for the Pixel Watch 4, which might be a potential eyesore, but this is not mentioned in the current leak.
