Leak on Play Store reveals the entire lineup of Google's Pixel 10 series smartphones
Google has teased the upcoming release of its Pixel 10 series, offering a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come. The tech giant has posted a teaser on its online store, showcasing one device in the Moonstone colour, hinting at the hero colour for the new range.
The Pixel 10 series is expected to include the standard model, the Pixel 10 Pro, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL, along with a new addition, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Leaked images suggest that all these devices will be depicted in a variety of colours.
The standard Pixel 10 will come in Obsidian (classic black/dark gray), Indigo (blue with slight purple undertones), Frost (a white-ish shade, distinct from Porcelain), and Limoncello (a greenish-yellow hue). The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL models will offer Obsidian (matte glass back with a glossy metal frame), Porcelain (warm white), Jade (a green shade), and Moonstone (slate blue) options. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to come in Moonstone and Jade colours.
All devices in the Pixel 10 series will run on Google's new Tensor G5 chip, marking a shift from Samsung to TSMC for chip production. The devices will also feature 12GB RAM and offer storage options up to 256GB.
The series will boast a triple-camera array, with a main 48MP lens, an ultra-wide 12MP lens, and a new telephoto 10.8MP lens on the Pro models. The Pixel 10 Pro XL will feature a 5200mAh battery, the largest ever in a Pixel phone and second largest among US flagship phones.
The design of the Pixel 10 series is expected to follow the Pixel 9 series, with a flat screen, flat sides, rounded corners, and a thick camera bar. A leaked image also suggests a possible third lens on the vanilla Pixel 10 model.
Google's "Made by Google" event is scheduled for August 20 at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET, where the Pixel 10 series, along with watches, buds, and more, will be unveiled. However, the exact details about potential phone deals for the Pixel 10 series are yet to be confirmed.
A tipster discovered an image of the Google Pixel 10 series through the Play Store's code, suggesting that the leaked image is official promotional material. The promotion for the Pixel 10 series, if it materializes, is scheduled to run until October 13, but the exact start date is currently unknown. It's also worth noting that the $50 off deal, if it materializes, will likely appear sometime after the series' debut in August.
