LCComputing Welcomes Taobao's First Programmer as Technical Partner
Hangzhou-based startup LCComputing has welcomed a significant addition to its team. Cai Jingxian, often referred to as Taobao's first programmer, has joined the company as a technical partner. Cai, who retired from Alibaba after a 25-year tenure, brings extensive experience to LCComputing, which focuses on big data, AI infrastructure, and cost management tools.
Cai's involvement with LCComputing comes after the startup raised tens of millions of yuan in a pre-A funding round in October 2024. The round was backed by venture firms including Yuanjing Capital and Westlake VC. This investment follows a Series A financing round in 2024, although details about further investors remain private.
Founded in 2021 by former Alibaba researcher Lin Hao, LCComputing aims to provide innovative solutions in the big data and AI space. Lin, who previously led middleware development at Alibaba, including the HSF high-performance framework, brings a wealth of experience to the company. Cai's addition to the team further strengthens LCComputing's technical prowess.
Cai Jingxian's decision to join LCComputing as a technical partner signals a promising future for the startup. With Cai's extensive experience in e-commerce and Lin Hao's background in AI infrastructure, LCComputing is well-positioned to make significant strides in the big data and AI sector.
