Kristina's Chat: The Discussion Featuring H.R. Giger's Unique Keyboard
Let's dive into the distinct realm of keyboard creation, shall we? The heavy industrial vibe of [heinn_dev]'s custom keyboard creation will make you question the apocalypse. Adjusting the tenting on this bad boy might be a laborious task, but who wants a quick fix anyways?
The keycaps are printed, which gives it a unique touch, although hand grime might clog the holes underneath the palm area - so keep those keyboards clean, folks!

Enter the Serenity from [MKBR], a 4-, 5-, or 6-column Corne layout that'll take your breath away. It boasts breakaway tabs on the PCBs, an integrated RP2040 programmed with QMK/Vial, and hot-swappable MX switches.
The left trackball is for scrolling, and the right one is for that good ol' trackballing around the screen. imagining AI struggling to produce an excellent image for the back just fills my heart with joy. Check it out in the gallery!
Dystopia or Not, [MKBR]'s Here to Stay

Historical Typewriters: Elliot-Fisher Book Typewriter
When you think of typewriters, you probably picture a moving sheet of substrate, but what if you needed to type in a bound book? Well, you'd need the Elliot-Fisher Book Typewriter. This 1903 marvel, based on an 1897 design, took paper fixation to the next level.
With a set of rails, the typing mechanism moved along and plotted the type onto the paper. Unlike traditional typewriters, here the paper stayed in place while the point of printing moved.
Cherry's New Switches and Technology
At Computex 2025, Cherry unveiled an exciting lineup of switches: the IK, MX Honey, MX Blossom, and MX Falcon. It's safe to say that these mouthwatering options are a game-changer.
The IK inductive switch, with contactless actuation, consumes 50% less power than standard magnetic switches. It even comes equipped with RGB and customizable actuation, on offer in Fall 2025.
The MX Honey, Cherry's first silent tactile MX switch, will debut in June, while the MX Blossom, their lightest linear switch to date, packs an actuation force of 35 cN. Finally, the MX Falcon, a tactile switch inspired by the community, is designed for heavy typists and enthusiasts. It features a long-pole stem, a sharper bottom-out, and a richer sound. All three MX switches are set to be available as 36-switch kits soon.
